If you integrated your Case application with CDK, you can enable the CDK Asset Validation feature.
The CDK Asset Validation feature will automatically validate if an asset added to a case in the Case application exists in your CDK system. If the asset is not found in your CDK system, the Case application will automatically upload it to your CDK system.
When enabled, a green or red icon will appear next to the CDK Asset Status in the Case-Level Actions section of the Editing Case page to let you know if the asset was validated in your CDK system or not. You can hover over the icon to see more information related to the status.
Green Icon
A green icon appears when the validation was successful or the asset was correctly loaded into your CDK system. No further action is required.
MESSAGE: Asset Confirmed in CDK DMS system on YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM:SS -0000
When this happens, you can export the case to the repair order.
If an asset is uploaded to the DMS via the CDK PIP system as part of the CDK Asset Validation, the following data is included in the upload:
- VIN
- Vehicle ID
- Engine Number
- Make, Model, Year
- In-Service Date, Delivery Date
Red Icon
If the red icon appears, hover your mouse over the icon to see one of two possibilities:
- MESSAGE:
Validating Asset is loaded in CDK DMS System. Please hold a minute and then refresh the screen.
- This appears when the system is in the process of checking if the asset is already uploaded to CDK DMS System. Refresh the screen after a couple of minutes to confirm if the asset has been successfully validated in your CDK system.
When the asset is validated, the icon will turn green. We recommend you confirm the asset is validated before sending the Repair Order.
- MESSAGE:
Asset NOT loaded into CDK DMS system. Please manually add asset into CDK system and retry your export.
If this message appears, manually load the asset into your CDK system before creating the repair order to ensure it can export successfully later.
Once you've manually loaded the asset into your CDK system, click the Refresh button to validate it was created successfully.
