If you are not directly involved in a case, but you still want to receive updates on it, you can use the WATCH button to generate notifications when any changes occur to the case.
The notifications you receive depend on your notification preferences.
When you watch a case, you'll also see those cases within the Watching column on the Cases page.
From the Cases Page
If you're on the Cases page, and see a case you want to start watching, you can start watching it right from there.
To do so, however, you need to first make sure you have the WATCH column added to your table.
- Click the Settings icon for the table.
- Select the Watch checkbox.
- Move the column up so it's easily accessible.
We recommend putting it at the top, so the column appears in the far right. - Click SAVE CHANGES.
From the WATCH column, click the icon to toggle between watching and not watching the related case. The page will refresh, and the button will update to indicate if you're watching the case.
- Blue with white for Watching
- White with grey for Not Watching
From an Editing Case Page
If you're already looking at a case and editing it, it's easy to start watching it.
On the Viewing Case page, you'll see either a WATCH button or a STOP WATCHING button.
- If you see a STOP WATCHING button, that means you're already watching the case.
- If you see a WATCH button, click it to start watching the case.
The page will refresh, and the button will update to indicate you're now watching the case.
Stop Watching
If you're already watching the case, you'll see a STOP WATCHING button in the same place as the WATCH button show in the previous image. Click it to stop watching the case.
The page will refresh, and the button will update to indicate you're no longer watching the case.
