Purpose
This article is a User Reference Guide and outlines this feature from the perspective of Decisiv Case. Users need to refer to the Karmak Fusion documentation for interaction from Karmak Fusion.
Introduction
This feature enables the functionality for a Karmak Fusion user to add, update, or delete parts or operations from Karmak Fusion systems and push the information into Decisiv Case.
Prerequisites
- Service Providers must have Karmak Fusion version 3.62.4.0 and above installed.
- Dealer must have all locations within Dealer Group set up with ALL the 'Additional Charges' categories configured in Decisiv - this is CASE SENSITIVE and MUST be set up EXACTLY according to the 'Miscellaneous Charges' categories in Fusion.
Setup
Decisiv Setup
- Service Providers must have the Decisiv Authentication set up with the Service Provider or Dealer Group Bearer Token.
- Dealer Admins must configure the 'Additional Charges' categories to match all of the 'Miscellaneous Charges' categories from Fusion.
NOTE: The Integration will fail if this is not mapped exactly the same.
- To set up:
- Additional Charges are configured in Admin > Customize your database > Additional Charges Categories.
- This has to be done on ALL the dealer locations within the Dealer Group.
- Enable Part Quantity Details toggle located in Admin > Customize your Database > Location Information > Features:
- This setup can be done by the Dealer Admin of Decisiv Support.
Karmak Fusion Setup
- Feature must be enabled in Karmak Fusion.
- This setup can be done by Karmak Support. Please contact Karmak Support to enable this feature.

-
Remove Operations
- Operations removed from Karmak Fusion will be set to “Not Sold” in Decisiv Case.
Recommended Workflow
In order for this feature to work properly, the user must consider the following:
- Once an operation has been sent to Fusion through export to RO (Repair Order), the operations must be managed in Fusion only; no further updates will be passed from Decisiv to Fusion.
- A user can create new operations to an exported case and export again; only new operations will be added to Fusion.
- The Service Provider Parts department will have to work in Fusion and send an update to Decisiv Case in order to keep the information consistent across platforms.
NOTES:
- Depending on Location configuration, users must be aware that the configured Shop Supplies, Hazardous Waste & Misc. Charges are not duplicated in the case. Service Providers may choose to set all the settings in Decisiv to be “None” to avoid any miscalculations.
- Taxes are not sent through this integration from Karmak Fusion to Decisiv Case.
- Karmak Fusion sends 'Miscellaneous Charges' to Decisiv. These charges are added as 'Additional Charges' to the case (as per existing integrations).
- If the location is part of a Dealer Group, all locations must have the 'Additional Charges' categories set exactly as they are in Fusion’s 'Miscellaneous Charges' categories. Any mismatches will cause the integration to fail and will cause discrepancies between Fusion´s Repair Order and Decisiv´s Estimate.
Add Parts to an Existing Operation
STEPS
- The Dealer must already have a case created on Decisiv with at least one operation added.
- The dealer must Export to RO to create the RO on Karmak Fusion and the RO number will be returned to the Decisiv platform. NOTE: This is an existing integration.
- After RO creation, users can use the correct RO number on Karmak Fusion to add a part or multiple parts to the RO.
- After saving the parts on Karmak Fusion, the data will be pushed to update the case with the added parts.
