We're continuing to make it easier for you to input case data by improving the Mileage and Engines Hours fields, introducing the new Mileage and Engine Hours Auto-Save Function, as well as improving the user experience for Service Providers during the case creation process by auto-populating the Mileage and Engine Hours fields when available data is newer than eight hours. These latest enhancements mean we display the most recent values for your reference directly within a case, and then automatically save any data you've entered. This ensures you've entered accurate, up-to-date information that will help warranty, PM, and service processes run more smoothly for your shop and your customers.
Here are some of the updates we've made:
- Mileage and Engine Hours Fields Improvements
- Mileage and Engine Hours Auto-Save Function
- Mileage and Engine Hours Fields Auto-Populate
- Audit Logs for Auto-Populated Mileage and Engine Hours Data
Mileage and Engine Hours Fields Improvements
We have improved the user experience on case pages by ensuring the Mileage and Engine Hours fields are empty at case creation. Previously, these fields were sometimes populated with data from past cases, which could lead to data quality issues. For assets that have been serviced in the past, the last updated data will be shown in this section to be used as a reference by the user.
With this new implementation, the Mileage and Engine Hours fields will only accept numbers and will no longer accept special characters, making it easier to avoid entering erroneous data.

Mileage and Engine Hours Auto-Save Function
After you update the Mileage and Engine Hours fields in the Asset Info section of a case, the information you’ve entered will now be automatically saved. A green check mark will display next to the updated field to indicate success, and you’ll no longer need to click SAVE after entering this information.

Mileage and Engine Hours Fields Auto-Populate
We have improved the user experience for Service Providers during the case creation process by auto-populating the Mileage and Engine Hours fields when available data is newer than eight hours. Mileage and Engine Hours may be automatically populated by an external tool or service such as Mobile Check-In or plug-in diagnostics tools as expected, until those values are older than eight hours.
This ensures that asset data is fresh, and that the Mileage and Engine Hours fields are not populated with old or inaccurate data that could lead to warranty or repair problems down the line.
At any point, a user can also manually update the Mileage and Engine Hours fields on the case, as well.
Audit Logs for Auto-Populated Mileage and Engine Hours Data
We improved the user experience for Service Providers by capturing previously-updated Mileage and Engine Hours data in audit logs generated at case creation. This will give Service Providers the confidence to know that the information they’re working with is fresh and accurate.
This feature will display all updates made in the Mileage and Engine Hours fields, including those generated automatically. It will also include the source and timestamp for each update, giving the Service Provider confidence in the data’s quality.
Supported Browsers
Same as those supported by the rest of the Case application:
- Chrome 80 or above (recommended)
- IE 11
