New Advancements in Service Management with SRM Case 8.0
Decisiv announces SRM Case 8.0, the latest version of the SRM Case application, with important new features that are taking us another step closer to reaching our overall goal of enabling zero unplanned downtime.
Case 8.0 streamlines communication from estimate creation to return to service, and reduces dwell time for maintenance and repair events. It's the culmination of several significant enhancements that improve ease of use and efficiency for service providers and fleets.
Enhancements
For this Release, we have the following enhancements:
- Exact Asset Search - Allows for searches using precise matching information. We plan to start enabling the new search in the Case 8.0 release and will continue to do so until all locations/networks are enabled.
- Case Notes - We've made some small updates to the layout/formatting of the Editing Case screen Notes section, and Case Information screen, including showing a “No Notes” empty state message to avoid users thinking notes have disappeared.
Exact Asset Search:
The new Exact Asset search feature will enhance search performance for Service Providers. This feature allows for searches using precise matching information, yielding results that display assets with exact matching data rather

Coming Soon
- Recommended Operations - We have implemented several new user interface enhancements in this area of the platform, which will be enabled on a rolling basis.
- Job Code Enhancement - We have developed a method to expand the flexibility of the Job Code feature for locations currently using or would like to use it. Job Code now supports the ability to select a default code to be used in these fields for all cases. Some locations prefer a default Job Code because it changes by exception only. Other locations choose not to have a default Job Code because they only add these by exception.
- Case Attachments - Users will soon be able to attach and associate REC, MDV, BLF, ZDX, and ZAX file types in addition to existing ones.
- Registered Fleet Assets - Once a registered fleet asset has been removed from the fleet if a service provider has previously serviced that asset/fleet, prevent them from creating new cases for the same asset/fleet.
Recommended Operations:
When creating a new case, a pop-up will now appear by default, presenting options for Campaigns & Recalls, Recommended Operations, Warranty & Extended Coverage, and Service Contracts & Subscriptions relevant to the asset.
Location Administrators can modify the alert preferences in the Administrative Tools section by selecting Admin > Customize Your Database > Case Preferences > Recommended Operations, Campaigns & Recalls > Alert Preferences. Once on this page, the behavior for case creation and viewing notifications can be adjusted.
